Eric Zakrewski is the President and CEO of True Grit Engineering. Mr. Zakrewski is highly effective, results-oriented and has over 20 years of experience working in diverse and complex regional and political environments. His technical practice consists of managing the permitting and approvals of large, complex waste management, resource and infrastructure development projects across northern Ontario and western Canada. He is an experienced Environmental Assessment (EA) practitioner, having managed large mining Environmental Impact Studies and related EA’s within both the Federal (CEAA) and Provincial Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) frameworks.
Mr. Zakrewski is a former Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation Cabinet Member. His key strengths and expertise include: business acumen, strategic planning, financial management, enterprise risk management, corporate governance and leadership management.
Adam Rose is a Principal and Manager of Engineering Services for True Grit Engineering (TGE). Mr. Rose has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree from Lakehead University and a Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma from Confederation College. Mr. Rose is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and has over 13 years of experience in the Civil Engineering discipline. He specializes in Construction, Geotechnical, Municipal, Environmental, Hydrology, Materials and Highway Engineering.
Mr. Rose has been certified in Contract Administration, Stream Crossing Design, MTO Quality Control Testing and the Renovation, Preservation and Repair of Bridge Infrastructure. He is also a Senior Highway Inspector and a Contract Lecturer at Lakehead University (Civil Engineering Program).
Paula Sdao is a Principal and Manager of Environmental Services at True Grit Engineering. Ms. Sdao has a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) from Lakehead University, a Diploma in Environmental Engineering Technology from Confederation College, and a Diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology from Lakehead University. Ms. Sdao has over 20 years of professional experience specializing in project management, building decommissioning, contract administration, hazardous materials/designated substances investigations and management, environmental compliance auditing, environmental site assessments, environmental assessment, indoor air quality, and air emissions.
Ms. Sdao is the Director and Secretary of the North-Central Finnish Society (Keski-Pohjalaistenkerho) and former second Vice-Chair of Confederation College’s Board of Governors. She is also a past member of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce Environmental Committee and the Finlandia Club Board of Directors, past chair of Thunder Bay’s EarthCare Environment Committee, and past secretary of the Lake Superior Scottish Regiment Association.
Dave Cronier is a Principal and Business Manager at True Grit Engineering. Mr. Cronier has a Fish and Wildlife Technician diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College and a Business Administration Diploma (Marketing) from Niagara College. Mr. Cronier has over 23 years of experience specializing in the administration of site remediation and waste management projects in remote First Nation communities.
Mr. Cronier is an Executive member of the Port Colborne & District Conservation Club.
Randy Edwards is a Principal of True Grit Engineering Limited and manages the Company’s Sioux Lookout office. Mr. Edwards has a Diploma in Terrain and Water Resources Technology from Sir Sandford Fleming College. Mr. Edwards has over 20 years environmental consulting experience which includes managing and conducting Phase I and II ESAs, as well as the design and implementation of site remediation plans. He has experience managing projects under both provincial and federal regulatory regimes and has worked extensively with First Nation communities to address their environmental issues.
Mr. Edwards is a member of the Sioux Lookout Volunteer Fire Department and the Sioux Lookout Aces Oldtimers Hockey Club. He also coaches minor hockey.
Jennifer Mills is the General Manager at True Grit Engineering (TGE).
Ms. Mills has more than 11 years of professional experience in the field of public affairs and community engagement. Ms. Mills brings substantial experience and ability to the firm in the areas of community engagement, internal/external communications, Indigenous affairs and consultation, public affairs, government affairs, marketing and business development.
Amanda Sedgwick is the Manager of Finance and Administration at True Grit Engineering (TGE). Ms. Sedgwick has a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting major) from the University of Regina and is currently working towards a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Ms. Sedgwick has nearly 10 years of experience specializing in accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and office administration.
Cliff Long is the Manager of Field Services at True Grit Engineering. Mr. Long is a qualified Engineering Technologist with over 19 years of professional experience. Mr. Long is responsible for the coordination, technical direction and management of field programs including a variety of subsurface investigations, monitoring and sampling programs, laboratory analysis, topographical and quantity surveys, landfill closure design, soil and groundwater remediation projects, baseline environmental assessments, remedial investigations and options analysis, and contract administration for large scale projects.
Carolyn Zakrewski is the Secretary/Treasurer of True Grit Engineering. She has approximately 15 years of experience in the areas of business development, accounts receivable, customer relations, board administration, event coordination and special projects. Ms. Zakrewski was the project manager of True Grit’s award-winning corporate office. She specializes in corporate culture and manages various health and wellness campaigns within the organization. She is a natural philanthropist who volunteers much of her time spearheading various corporate philanthropic initiatives.
Jennifer Main is the Manager of Planning & Development Services at True Grit Engineering. She has over twelve years of professional experience, with five of those years spent working as an environmental engineer at the Domtar Inc. – Dryden Mill and three years of process engineering experience in the pulp mill, steam and recovery, and paper mill operations. Jennifer’s areas of expertise include environmental compliance auditing, toxic substance reduction planning, hazardous materials, landfill and wastewater system management, Environmental Management Systems (EMS), drinking water quality assessments, and NPRI/O. Reg. 127/01 compliance reporting.
