True Grit Employees Lead Healthy Eats Initiative

June 15, 2017

During the year, especially in the summer months, many True Grit Engineering employees spend much of their time in remote communities throughout northern Ontario. As such, the staff of True Grit wanted to give back. They decided to purchase and deliver an assortment of fruit to Fort Hope First Nation, Bearskin Lake First Nation, Neskantaga First Nation, Cat Lake First Nation, Wapakeka First Nation, Marten Falls First Nation and Kingfisher First Nation. Fruit was delivered to the school in each of the communities so that students had access to healthy snack options that many of us regularly take for granted. This years’ initiative is the first of many more to come.

True Grit would like to thank the schools and volunteers in each community who assisted us with this initiative. The company would also like to thank each of our employees for volunteering their time and for their contributions. Most of all, we would like to thank each community for welcoming us and always making us feel at home.
